Just because he did a lot of comedy films in the latter part of his career, people think he's nothing more than a comedian. Nothing can be further from the truth. The likes of Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan have named Govinda amongst their favourite artistes and there is a reason for that. Go watch films like Hatya, Dariya Dil and Swarg, and then come back and tell me Govinda isn't a very good actor. The fact is, he is one of the very best.

He CAN'T dance - and this is quite apparent in the way the choreography has to be toned down for Govinda. He may act well, but dance? no way. If anyone can direct me to a film clip where he shows talent in this field I'd be keen to be proved wrong.

I have yet to see him dance with any sort of finesse or real energy demonstrated by SRK etc. They CAN dance.and prove it in virtually every film dance scene they do.
