Dil is used metaphorically, not as an organ, when describing mann. The mind has the property to reason. Mann does not. It is primarily driven by emotions. (mera mann bahut udaas hai). mind. Dil is generally used to show 'sponteneous reaction', and Mann is
used to show 'cultivated reaction'.
