'kar' comes from 'Karya','ja' comes from 'jayate" in sanskrit..so i would say urdu/hindi uses basic grammatical structure from Sanskrit and words derived from Sanskrit,Persian,Arabic etc. Off course Hindi/Sanskrit uses devnagari script alphabets while urdu doesn't use dev nagari and is written from right to left
