We all have our favorites. I have gone through phases where I dived deep into the songs of Kishore, Rafi, Mukesh, Jagjit Singh, NFAK, Asha Bhonsle. But no phase has lasted as long as my Lata phase. I went to one of her concerts 15 years ago, and I realized how lucky I was not only to have been born in an age when Lata is singing, but to actully have been to one of her concerts. She is really the last of the greats, and the greatest.
