I remember while in primary school in Jammu & Kashmir, once in a while we
would sing this song for the morning assembly. I remember our teachers told
us to raise our voices with fervour for the "Hindi hai ham" and we did so
thrice with such enthusiasm! And to end the assembly was JAI HIND with a
salute to the beautiful Indian Flag! This song suddenly made me reminisce
