Comments for song "Najar Ka Waar Tha, Najariya Ki Mari Mari Mori Guiya"
Parag Sankla on Thursday, March 11, 2010 The story behind this song is very interesting. After say 1952 or so,
Rajkumari did not get any singing assignments and was forced to sing in the
chorus to make both ends meet. During one of his recordings Nausahad sahab
noticed Rajkumari singing in the chorus. She had sung for him earlier in
the 40s and had regards for her. He gave her this solo song in the film
Pakeezah but unfortunately it was not included in the film. Rajkumari died
several years later in poverty. May her soul rest in peace.

orientlover1 on Sunday, June 05, 2011 This song sung by Rajkumari is played only briefly in film Pakeezah when a teacher is giving singing lesson to a young girl.
orientlover1 on Sunday, June 05, 2011 Twelve songs were composed for film Pakeezah but only six were included. This was probably one of those discarded ones.
prajjwalit on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 This is one of the good contributions made by bollywood to promote
classical music among the masses.
