I am a keralite and I strongly disagree..This song just feels like
heaven..the lyrics are just amazing...which tells you to not judge people
...and I feel this is not the place to argue about his Keralite origin and
caste of Rahman and his family..His music is amazing just because it don't
have boundaries of country religion or languages..

dinuseee on Tuesday, August 27, 2013
:) I did not judge you..I just said my opinion about that particular
comment and all I said was I disagreed to your comment.but I felt your
comment "He is now like an old Cow living on his past glories" was
judgmental about A.R Rahman..again who are we to judge whether he should
change his religion or not..and why do you think is it right to have a
religion by birth anyways. and about his songs .All i meant is you can
relate to his songs independent of religion caste or language..:)

dinuseee on Tuesday, August 27, 2013
Sorry I tried to post the link to the site which has meaning but youtube
wont allow me to post it ..So please google it..it is with in the first 2
hits

Vasu Dev on Tuesday, August 27, 2013
Heard Ram Sampath, definitely a good Composer. But Rahman just appears the
god of such composition and touch above them all. Makes you feel why Rahman
is such a celebrated one. There can be million cameos but there could be
only one Such Legendary Composer like Rahman

BWoodJunkie on Tuesday, August 27, 2013
Can anyone upload a Hindi or English translation of the lyrics? :)

JAGANNATHAN R on Tuesday, August 27, 2013
Why I born why I opened my eyes don't know

Cool Richman on Wednesday, August 28, 2013
One of the most melodic masterpieces ever.

Freedy Mashcurry on Wednesday, August 28, 2013
No I dont think its right to have a religion by birth.Infact I m overall
against Religion itself. But I m also the kind who believes when a person
jump from one faith to another is someone who cant be trusted ever.Today he
is here ,tomorrow there and next day some where else.If u know God then u
dont have to jump from one religion to another. These r basically organised
religion's brainwashing to mint more converts.Nothing else.

serendipity132 on Wednesday, August 28, 2013
Just after a week, for this song... 258,234 views; 2,222 likes; and only 56
dislikes. "Zariya" has crossed 1.4 million views. "Jagao mere desh"
closing in 1 million views... These numbers does not speak about his past
but present glory...

dinuseee on Wednesday, August 28, 2013
see understand that everyone may not be as enlightened as you are
spiritually..and everyone has different ways of reaching that
understanding..because they feel one way suits them than the other..or
exposure and experience of something that you can relate more towards lead
you to choose a particular way of doing things over the other..and this way
keeps evolving and get better from time to time for any human..and also is
the idea of god..

dinuseee on Wednesday, August 28, 2013
may be its a lie or not..But that's his personal choice..and by far he
doesn't make Music specific to his religious views and most importantly he
do not dis respect other religious beliefs or views through his music.. so
what difference it make to us and who are you or me to judge him..

dinuseee on Wednesday, August 28, 2013
:) hmm..I think u are talking of me ..then please speak directly to me..I
can very well explain to u who I am..and you don't have to try to guess who
I am and weave around ur imaginative conspiracy theory :)

dinuseee on Wednesday, August 28, 2013
:) U just basically state all "facts" with out giving proofs..this is what
basically fundamentalists do..they just always say they know things
better..So I am sorry i cannot buy into that argument..then the legendary
miracles is not a cult of Islam alone its a cult of every religion..And if
you know things better then good for you as you suggested me keep it to
yourself...Most of us are here just to listen to his music ..so sell your
conspiracy theories somewhere else..

Sachin Rajat Sharma on Wednesday, August 28, 2013
A R Rahman, is a very very special person, May god continue to show him the
path to these magical compositions. Sad to see that some people in this
forum are unable to see the goodness in his music. God is goodness doesn't
matter the religion

Freedy Mashcurry on Wednesday, August 28, 2013
and u r telling me that what I m saying is without facts is basically
because u dont know who I m ? :) Tell u what.U dont trust me fine then why
not go ask Rehman himself. see if he can refuse. And yes if telling someone
truth and loving this country is leballed as being fundamentalist. Then yes
I am a Fundamentalist.I even know who u r :) dreaming for a singing deal
with rehman,dont u?

dinuseee on Wednesday, August 28, 2013
:) :) i have to laugh ...I appreciate your imagination with so much limited
information available of me in my you tube channel..u have already made a
judgement about me..so I think this is the way you see the world so i
cannot argue with you or convince you otherwise :).. and this is the simple
reason its hard to believe your perspective ..because you always like to
see things as cut and right ...and I feel from my experience you just make
quick judgement's of people with out really knowing them

Freedy Mashcurry on Wednesday, August 28, 2013
I already told u .U dont know who I am and What profession I belong to and
why I know so much about Rehman that common people dont know about.Ask
urself :)

dinuseee on Wednesday, August 28, 2013
U can do whatever u like :).and I am not really either worried or bothered
about who you are.or what you know about Rahman..because finally its just
your perspective...and what you know about me is not a problem for me even
if you know everything about me..because I know what i am and I very well
accept me for what i am. And I am not afraid of anyone in this world
knowing what I am..:)..So please ..and what is speaking now to me is not
the real you its just rather your ego :)..

dinuseee on Wednesday, August 28, 2013
You comment suggest that you already started considering me :)

love to a r rehman but still waiting for real coke studio from the west ...

JAGANNATHAN R on Thursday, August 29, 2013
Good one..keep going ARR

Vasu Dev on Thursday, August 29, 2013
K Kumaran, appears another Die Hard fan of IllayaRaja, another great Legend
of Music the South Indian Soil had seen of the 80s. Several of Raja Fans
still hate Rehman to the core. They are still yet to realise there is
another composer better than IllayaRaja for them and continuously look for
degrading Rahman. They started with Roja as they said he is a Student of
IllayaRaja, later when Rahman became more popular they started saying he
copies songs from western Rock.

vignesh k on Thursday, August 29, 2013

nikhil khandelwal on Thursday, August 29, 2013
Can somebody please post a hindi/english transaltion.

Roshan Raj on Thursday, August 29, 2013
Mr. ARR you just reminded us why there can be no music composer like you
ever. Also you are proving that you are not only the greatest composer of
all times, but you are equally a greatest singer.

Vasu Dev on Friday, August 30, 2013
Meaning of the Song/ rather the feel of the song I should say: A song of an
Orphan who grew up with in a Hut next to a tree and River confused about
why he was born and real world far far away from him. "Naan Yen Piranthen??
--- Why was ever born??", "Ennake Theriyathe ----Dont know why was ever
Born". A Song of an Orphan trying to find the purpose of why the child was
born in a Confused, a bit Sad song.

MsFicky on Friday, August 30, 2013
The song is about a girl shunned by society because of her dark skin and
abject poverty. About her agony on being lonely and persecuted and how she
redeems herself from these obstacles and oppression. Rayhanah: No life here
is lowly ,who are we to find fault in others Even a flute with holes
produces nice music [ something with holes/defect doesn't mean its useless,
analogy to flute] A black cloud gives us rain, with which lives thrive
contd..

MsFicky on Friday, August 30, 2013
AR [a lullaby sung by some one to the girl] A hut in a beautiful village
with trees lining up the river sides, Pure and innocent people of village
are sleeping..aariro aariro [aariro just a gibberish word in a lullaby but
the intention is asking baby to sleep] Who will tell the reason of your
birth in this lonely world ... contd...

MsFicky on Friday, August 30, 2013
Now the best part , Naan aen piranthaen - why am I born? Kan aen
thiranthaen-> Why did I open my eyes? enakae theriyathae-> Even I dont know
the reasons [Someone replies to her question] In GOD's creation everything
is beautiful, your eyes may not see it.. The END I tried to cover the
important lines, hope I covered most of them. The lyric were written by a
tamil poet Valee who died recently, I think ARR is giving a tribute. You
owe me a translation :) enjoy the music }

Ram prabhu on Friday, August 30, 2013
As the content says, this song is about existentialism. Now, Even though it
says that "where man wonders...", you wouldn't find a single word in this
song which is gender specific. About the content, It's all about just one
question, but thoughtful. What is the purpose of my existence? Now the best
part of this song is it doesn't give any specific reason for the
frustration, but it gives you a hope.

hani butt on Friday, August 30, 2013
i don't understand this language. and also i don't want to understand,
because Rahman's music is enough for me.

bijucyborg on Friday, August 30, 2013
a talented singer like abhilasha chellam is singing in rehman's chorus,
speaks a lot about Rehman's status as a legend

Freedy Mashcurry on Saturday, August 31, 2013
or maybe the only original song :)

Mohamed Fasil on Saturday, August 31, 2013
Mesmerizing song with in depth meaning in the lyrics with philosophical
thought on existentialism. " It explores an interesting lyrical theme of
existentialism, where man "wonders why he was born and what role he is
expected to fulfil through life"

Navee strik on Saturday, August 31, 2013
