armitastic on Thursday, March 26, 2009 Amazing choreography, beautiful scenery, innovative and fresh concept for a film, splendid music, fabulous cast, and one-of-a-kind actress, as we're taken on this journey of love and lust - a journey where the tender moments of love are held accountable for one's future, one's reputation. A man who is in a state of befuddlement over the woman he adores and cannot take his eyes off of. But that one is merely a replica, a carbon copy of his sweetheart - she's her daughter!!! What else can he do?
armitastic on Thursday, March 26, 2009 As he's being loved by Pooja - the daughter of her beloved, Pallavi - from left to right, being adored as if he's her last savior, her last cry for help, he's confused and perplexed over her actions. What should his stand be in such a case? Is he, a grown, well-set, independent man, allowed to be romantically linked with such a naive and innocent human being? By what standards will the society base his actions and what will be his consequences as he partakes in this controversial matter of love?
armitastic on Thursday, March 26, 2009 As we're observing this state of perplexity by the helpless man, we can't help but make note of the lovable and warm-hearted Pooja, as she's holding Viren as her object of affection - the man he would climb the tallest mountains, cross the widest rivers for, just to be married to. She's simply phenomenal for her open-handed approach to life writes the "script" to her character. The audience is astonished over this young lady who will break the age-old conventions to reach her goal in life.
armitastic on Thursday, March 26, 2009 Her courage and dedication - and Yash Chopra's innovative and creative mind - make for an all-time classic. With such a film, the box-office numbers shouldn't really act as the proof for success and the worthiness of the film for the project itself has gained recognition and acknowledgment from people and critics of various nations. Who wouldn't fall head-over-heels in love with Pooja's inner strength, Viren's confused state, and Pallavi's mesmerizing performance? "Lamhe" = Perfection!!!!
armitastic on Thursday, March 26, 2009 As one critic wonderfully put it: "Lamhe is a nice break from tradition" - and in fact, that's exactly what it is!!! I believe that the portion of the harsh and criticizing audience is so used to the over-used and simply played-out plots of films - which is fine in itself - , that once something different, something extraordinarily fresh in concept and approach varies from their usual lot, it seems as though they're overwhelmed. "Lamhe" - along with "Chandni" - is Yash's BEST work!!!!!!!!!
armitastic on Thursday, March 26, 2009 Sri is looking so breathtakingly beautiful and such a joy to watch as she's playfully dancing and twirling around with her friends, as she's being watched by Anil:) In my opinion, Sri bonds well with Anil out of all of her heroes in her entire career, therefore, it was definitely an amazing experience to have Anil portraying the role of Viren:)
This song is so refreshing, that one finds themselves coming back for more - a common linkage to the MASTER - SRI!!!!!!!
armitastic on Thursday, March 26, 2009 Thank you so much for such a wonderful and incredible upload of the wonder that is Sri, fav1987:) Thank you very, very much:) !!!
smack on Sunday, March 29, 2009 Everyday i come across another dance number by her in the rain. omg! I've
lost count of the number of rain dances by her: each one better than the
last and it's not the easiest thing in the world to do. even with a high
temperature she still danced to "Na jaane kahan se aayi hai" in Chaalbaaz.
She's a thorough professional.
