even whn it used to be more common in the past, the general practice was to
get playback singers to do the singing & the actors to do the acting. today
it's safe to assume that no one actually sings in their movies. they
lip-synch during shoots. the actual singing is done by playback singers
such as udit narayanan (he is a fav when it comes to giving ShahRukh a
voice during songs), shankar mahadevan (singin in this song)

watch an indian film, the only thing they have to do is read subtitles! And
indian films are targeted at people all over the world, so the film makers
make it easier for everyone. If the filmmakers never done some of the
things they are doing now to make it easier, I can guarantee most people
would stop watching indian films.
