beautiful song .

Rafi and Asha in top form! Dharmendra and Meena Kumari were an unlikely
pair but together they had good chemistry - I guess, their off screen
friendship helped.

I wonder if Rafi Sahib was merely a singer or A Singing Actor. He enhances
the beuty of scene by his marvelous vocal Improvisation. Let us enjoy his
miraculuos voice and pray for him. Ashaji has performed equally good in
this song to match with Rafi Sahib's mood. Great song, great posting. Thank
you.

Ashaji here has an amazing range as always.I am sure if she had wanted to,
she could have sung high Opera as well.

Goldensixties1 on Sunday, March 21, 2010
Rafi has made this beautiful song very unique. He sings the opening line
differently every time. And each time, it is just divine.

What a song. They made the hottest pair in Bollywood film industry.

@ROHAN1053 Well I am talking about recent times...not when the world
started. :P

alishaj577 on Tuesday, January 18, 2011
@ROHAN1053 oh right...thanks for enlightening me. Though you are only
talking without any proof. And I don't know when Syria became part of our
conversation. :P Anyways,as far as I remember, the discussion was on
countries not religions. So lets not get into this endless religion
discussion. :)

alishaj577 on Tuesday, January 18, 2011
@ROHAN1053 Well since you are already telling me so much history..maybe you
could also provide me with some proof that whatever you are saying is true.
:)

ROHAN KUMAR on Wednesday, January 19, 2011
@alishaj577 U keep asking the same question again & again , I said history
is testimony read history u will know the facts , history is proof .
Washington was first president of USA .. its a known fact right? if you
still want proof then you need to read American history which says the same
. Proof of past & bygone era is in history , History itself is proof to
history . At times I pity your IQ.

alishaj577 on Wednesday, January 19, 2011
@ROHAN1053 Yes I know its in history, since you know so much about history,
maybe you would like to quote the paragraph or phrase where its written.
And I pity your lack of understanding simple english...SIGH :) And I also
pity people like you who bring religion without any rhyme or reason into
every discussion ;)

Md. Rafi was born in vill. Kotla Sultan Singh, Distt. Amritsar in Punjab
and lived for first 13 years of his life in his village. Rafi used to sing
in the streets imitating a fakir that used to come to their village and
sang a Punjabi song Khedan de din char, then his family moved to the
capital Lahore like most people did in those days for work, he started
singing in movies as Lahore was the center of film industry, he lived there
for 7 yrs, then went to Bombay in 1944 to work for big studios.

In Afghanistan they called this man DARRO. Back then the indian movies were
good but since the 21st century todays movies are not worth watching.

Why even countries? Art whether in the form of music or otherwise has not
barriers no diviisons or limits.

Adi Katrak on Thursday, May 08, 2014
Dharmendra was handsome to a fault but could not act to save his life he
was stiff shy did not know dialogue delivery Meena fell madly in love took
him under her wing n made him a star He hd 6 flop films before Meenas
patronage. Phooln aur Patthar made him asupetstar and a millionaire Before
she became an alcoholic. Meena was ten times more beautiful than Hema who
did not hv Meenas porcelain complexion perfect features and abovr all that
ethereal visage which even Madhubala did not hv See hemas earlier pics n
ul. see what I mean Meena made Amrohi a multi millionaire Gulzar a famous
name also Pradip Kumar extended Asho Kumars career by accepting him as her
hero in his advanced years She died peniless exploited by her own family n
all the men in her life Today she remains immortal in Indian cinema n
rightly her detractors are forgotten
