in their own way...Look at the talent and compositions of Shankar Jaikishan
and then compare them with HB...No-one can compose like SJ...They took us

Last SJ hit song was in Andaz "Zindagi Ek Safar Hai Suhana" penned by Hasrat and composed by Jaikishan. After Jai, there were no hit songs of Shankar until "Chal Sanyasi Mandir Mein" from Sanyasi 1976. Five years after Jai's death! When the duo worked together, most Binaca Geet Mala toppers and hits were Jaikishan compositions. Do your research!

Shankar would bar them from entering any studio where he would be present. Ram Gunguly used to arrange music at Prithvi Theatres for stage shows.Later gave excellent music not only in Aag but also in Sangam, Saaya & Gawaiyya. In Gawaiyya he had Talat Mahmood playback for 1940's actor/singer Surendranath.Talat seemed to be Ramji's ultimate pick in male singers. A excellent choice. Regards.
