amazing voice of the master Rafi saab, lovely song!

htgajjar on Monday, January 12, 2009
Super song and amazing voice of the Mukesh, Suman Kalyanpur and Rafi.

gps786 on Tuesday, March 24, 2009
Beautiful song and well sung by all three except at 6:26 to 6:27, Mukesh gets off the tune.

Vinod Mehdiratta on Thursday, April 09, 2009
I remember I used to see this song during my childhood days on chitrahaar
and like it a lot. A beautiful song that brought memories of those golden
old day. thanks.

Dhanashri Gosavi Deshmukh on Sunday, April 12, 2009
beautiful song by rafisaab, its my all time favourite song, and pappa's
also,his college times..

htgajjar on Saturday, April 18, 2009
Mukeshji's Golden voice makes this song better. Mukesh was Master of
Emotional Songs.

namitamathur61 on Thursday, May 14, 2009
I beg to differ.Unfortunately in his later years he was forced to sing songs in which he strained but he did not get offnote.

namitamathur61 on Saturday, May 16, 2009
You are welcome! Wonder if you have noticed most great singers go off note in live performances-have seen Alka Yagnik,Kavita Krishnamurthy,Shankar Mahadevan, Rehman,Kumar Sanu and Sunidhi Chauhan go off...but I really admire Lata ji and Jagjit Singh ji acknowledge publicly.Rehman I think could not hear his track. Lata ji had high fever -was Bal Thackeray's show.Mukesh da sang very well in a particular scale-had never learnt music! Later communal politics forced him to do songs beyond his reach.

atulks on Saturday, May 16, 2009
Mukesh was Gods gift to hindi film music. Rafi had an overwhelming presence
due to his wide range because he gave his voice from Dilip Kumar to Shammi
Kapoor but Mukesh's contribution to enhance the hindi film music cannot be
ignored. Till date Mukesh's 'mera joota hai japani..' is rated as the 'most
hit' song of all the times. One will agree that he had his limitations but
he has given some 'immortal gems' which one still yearns to listen and the
list of those songs by Mukesh is endless.

Ravi Gokhale on Sunday, May 24, 2009
Top notch. Many thanks.

Rafisaabsfan on Monday, June 01, 2009
Its Rafi saab actually and mukesh may have had his one hit song but Rafi saab has been voted singer of the millenium nearly 30 yrs after his death n tht says it all!!!!!!!
btw i cant find any proof anywhere to back up ur ridiculous claim abt the song 'jhoot hai japani'!!!!!!
thts a load of utter nonsense!!!

htgajjar on Monday, June 01, 2009
Mukeshji's Golden voice makes this song better.Mukesh was Master of
Emotional and Sad Songs. Mukesh ji songs are well know where Raj Kapoor's
films of 50s 60s, and 70s were famous in countries like Russia, Eastern
Europe, and Israel, Mukeshji was the best singer ever !!

Anandaroop Bhattacharya on Sunday, June 07, 2009
guys, please stop fighting and emjoy the music!

Anandaroop Bhattacharya on Sunday, June 07, 2009
he did not! The tune was probably simplified for him since he was not as
classically trained as Rafi. But this was not off-tune. I am a big fan of
Rafi-saab but I have to admit that in this song, Mukesh was better in terms
of expression. Seedha dil ko chhoon gaya. My pesonal opinion - others don't
have to agree.

unnamed78105 on Saturday, June 20, 2009
gps786...don't say such things...it is a sin!! No one in india is qualified
enough to comment upon the greatest singers like Mukesh, Rafi Kishore, Lata
and Asha..

namitamathur61 on Tuesday, June 30, 2009
Got to read comments by all here.Rafi,Kishore Kumar,Mukesh da were all
great singers and one thing I can say they respected each other a lot...we
are belittling their mutual respect and admiration for each other by
comparing them and saying one was better than the other.. bet their souls
are hurt...may they rest in peace wherever they are...they all have left us
a great legacy to enjoy and cherish.Voting is no yardstick as we all know
how 'loaded'/unbalanced it is.

Dinesh Mankad on Saturday, July 11, 2009
great combination of rafi, mukesh and suman kalyanpur

Chrysalis123 on Wednesday, July 15, 2009
Mukesh may not be off-key but he does go flat. His blemishes get covered because of his excellent bass. Rafi is fluid and in absolute control of every note in this song. He sets the tone of the song. The song would not be the same had Suman or Mukesh started it.

ccrich100 on Friday, July 24, 2009
yeah, guys, quit with the comparions. If you want to compare then compare
against your own abilities. I am sure that most of lawyers here can't sing
squat !!

namitamathur61 on Saturday, August 01, 2009
All that I wish to add is that Rafi Sahib was a trained classical singer
whereas Mukesh da,Kishore Kumar were natural ,untrained singers. They were
all 'pearls'- and we all know the difference between natural and cultured
pearls!.:) Hope I shall not be taken amiss by any! I personally love all
these singers even though Mukesh da is my relative!

abduldurrani on Sunday, August 02, 2009
Agree 100 % it is not fair to compare such great singers , they have all
their own uniqeness and singing qaualities and flawless in their own
styles. The are all schools of singing and I learn from them every day new
things.

namitamathur61 on Tuesday, August 04, 2009
Friends,an example of how these great singers admire(d) each other is
evident by the tribute paid by Manna Dey to Kishore Kumar whose 80th
birthday is today.God bless them all !

cutenikss on Monday, August 10, 2009
I quite admire when one praise the treasures in songs and remembers them.

ohioguy24us on Thursday, August 13, 2009
All of the singers such as Rafi, Kishore, Mukesh, Manna-Dey were true greats and had a lot of respect for each other, and should not be compared. However, Manna-Dey, Kishore, & Mukesh have all mentioned in several interviews that they all considered Rafi Sahab to be greatest of them all. That should tell you something.

namitamathur61 on Friday, August 14, 2009
Several interviews of these great artists with the question who they thought was the greatest amongst them would be hard to find as the media could not get them always in those days. But certainly there was no bad mouthing and whenever they had a chance to speak about their colleagues they had nice things to say or remember. They appreciated each other and that should be the guiding light for us.

dard bhra geet by Rafi Marhoom

Vijay Bagga on Sunday, November 08, 2009
Hum Wo Parwane hai jo, shama ka dam bharte hai, Usne ki yaad main, khamosh
jala karte hai, Ah bhi nikle to yeh pyar ki ruswahi hai Phir Kohi joth
mohabat ki ubar aaye hai You are right nflind2, what a line a rare
combination. One of my favorite songs.

Jagmohan Singh on Monday, November 09, 2009
A very very sweet and fascinating song by the great singers M Rafi Suman
Kalyanpur and Mukesh.Rafi is undoutedly unique.

Subhash Sareen on Monday, November 23, 2009
Rafi had this rare ability to sensitize the lyrics with deep emotional
content without ever loosing grip on the flow of its latent meaning. Superb
emotional song. Excellent upload.

ankabutman on Thursday, December 24, 2009
rafi sounds too good ..others spoil this

seema faulkner on Sunday, January 31, 2010
Rehman, sitting opposite to Darmendra, reminds me of my father when he was
young, and the song reminds me of my first puberty days, everything so
flowery and emotional, and who ever shows any atttention, makes you wonder
is he the one for you, felt so traumatised when first so called boyfriend,
started to give more attention to the best freind.

musicfai on Thursday, March 11, 2010
mukesh, lata kya awaaz but rafi saab ka awaaz.unbelievable

LRM..The Legend Trio...!!!!

RAYRUHI on Sunday, May 30, 2010
thanks for sharing such a nice song.

MOHAN DOSHI on Monday, July 19, 2010
This was the first movie of the mama bhanja duo of SONIK - OMI and what
heavenly music they have rendered for this great movie. Dharam paaji looks
like he is the most handsome man in the world, which he was in those days.
Rafi sahab, Sumanji and Mukesh sahab have excelled in this song. Mere words
are simply insufficient to praise this post. I wish to thank you from the
bottom of my heart for posting this lovely song.

haresh mehta on Monday, July 19, 2010
Three great Singers . .

studer3500 on Sunday, July 25, 2010
@namitamathur61 - you must have had opportunities to listen to Mukesh live.
Unfortunately for us non relatives we could only listen to that recorded on
records/CDs where verses have been slashed to fit into the time limits.

namitamathur61 on Tuesday, July 27, 2010
@studer3500 I did meet him..my family esp my father had many opportunities to hear him live &stay with him.In fact my father also sang his songs in front of him while Mukesh da played the harmonium and offered a lot of praise to him.Yes records are 'limiting'...another thing singers tend to forget the original(unless they rehearse for a show) when asked to sing suddenly esp at family meets...a lot of 'variations' creep in! He was a truly great and noble soul...God Bless him wherever he is..

imrk78 on Tuesday, August 24, 2010
Doston, my father used to sing this song whenever he was in a mood to sing.. mere yaaar i lost him three years back due to cancer.. aaj bhee ye song sunkar dil krtaa hai foot foot kar ro doon..unkee majar pe aaj bhee rokar aataa hoon jab dil bhar jataa hain.. :( - Miss you a lot papa.. main chahe baap ban gaya lekin aaj bee apka betaa hee hoon... :(

goldenmatt60 on Saturday, August 28, 2010
@41papu And the most astonishing fact about this great song is that this
movie was the first for the talented but unheralded duo of SONIK-OMI. What
heavenly music they have rendered on their debut!

Vijay Bagga on Sunday, August 29, 2010
@imrk78 the only difference between your and my story is that you can cry
on your father's maar. and me the unlucky, i was in canada when my father
passed away in india. I could not go then. I have to live with this for the
rest of my life.

imrk78 on Monday, August 30, 2010
- Dost so sad, bt when u see someone very loved dying before you..its very shocking and untolerateabel dost.. i was aware that my father will not live more than two months..and what was my condition u can imagine..dost..

criticalmass500 on Tuesday, September 14, 2010
in my humble opinion such great artists should not be compared...they all
had their own style of singing...why compare? we are lucky to hear them...

rajaraaj1 on Wednesday, September 29, 2010
A rare Rafi/Lata/Mukesh combination. The soz and dard in each voice is equal. Only these 3 great singers could collaborate on such a touching geet.

Mukesh:
Hum Wo Parwane hai jo, shama ka dum bharte hain,

Husn ki aag mein khamosh jala karte hain

Aah bhi nikle to ye pyaar ki ruswa'i hai

Phir koi choat mohabbat ki ubhar aaye hai

abid malik on Friday, October 15, 2010
I DONT KNOW OTHERS ONLY RAFI SAHAB IS KING OF SINGERS ..

rajabundela on Saturday, October 16, 2010
Hum Wo Parwane hai jo, shama ka dam bharte hai,

HUSN ki yaad main, khamosh jala karte hai,

Ah bhi nikle to yeh pyar ki ruswai hai

Phir Koi CHOT mohabat ki ubar aaye hai

WHILE RAFI AND SUMAN KALYANPUR ARE AMAZING, IT'S DIFFICULT TO FIND MORE HEARTACHE THAN IN MUKESH'S VOICE

Vijay Bagga on Monday, October 18, 2010
@naumanjanjua12 thanks a lot for correcting me. You must have heard this
even more than I did. Once again, thank you
