Navketan’s Taxi Driver (1954) where she was cast as Anglo-Indian club
Dancer – Sylvie.Sheila Ramani was introduced by Chetan Anand to Hindi
films, which explains her association with Navketan. She was born in Sindh,
and one of the few Sindhi actresses besides Sadhana who made it big in
BollywoodShe was crowned Miss Shimla in the early 50s and was mostly seen
as upper class mod girl in the 50s.

I may quote here an example of Mukesh, who in the initial phase of his singing career was greatly influenced by KL Saigol, and sang many hit songs emulating him. But it was Naushad & Anil Biswas, who took him out of Saigol-mold & made him a great singer with a voice identifiable of his own, in films like Mela, Andaz (Naushad), and Anokha Pyar (Anil Biswas).
