Comments for song "Deewane Na Ja Re"

Music director Sardar Malik was asked about this song when he said it was
by Asha Bhosle ! It is undoubtedly by Suman Kalyanpur . What say ? Harish

Dee Thakore on Wednesday, April 20, 2011
Harish ji, You have make a very interesting analogy ... indeed the tune is
"jis desh" Why Malik said this was Asha song? (1) May be he had thought of
giving this song to her. (2) may be Asha didn't want to copy Lata/or sound
like her. (3) may be Asha prefered Helen over Madhumati :) (4) may be Malik
thought lets have poorman Lata to copy that song. one thing for sure... I
am listening first time. thanks for sharing lovely song.

@derubala Oh no no madam . Malik was very old when this question was asked
to him. Also he had Parkinson's disease and he could not recollect the song.

@derubala Madam shekha gupta our encyclopedia man says this song resembles
Shailendra's "Kateele-Kateele Nasheele-Nasheele Kaise Jhon.ke Aaye" by
Suman Kalyanpur on Meena Kumari under Dattaram's baton in Zindagi Aur
Khwaab (1961). The Zindagi Aur Khwaab number, however, is faster.

Dee Thakore on Saturday, April 23, 2011
@amrutvani2 of course Dattaram assisted SJ team...so naturally some of his
tune has the essence of SJ. With great respect to Sheka Gupta, I will stay
firm with "Jish desh" song more similar than "Z aur K".

@amrutvani2, May be out of his memory, as you said, due to health. Thanks
for the old 'Vividh Bharati' song.

Harish ji.For my ears, both strains are present. " Hai hai maine pyar
Kiya" (Jis Desh) and "kateli kateli nashilee nashilee (Zindagi aur Khwab).
The tempo is more like the latter's. Suman Kalyanpur definitely.
