Krishna's satguru who taught Bhagavan Sri Krishna ji about the nuances and
intricacies of Pashupata Shaiva philosophy. If you read the Bhagavad Gita,
the philosophy therein mirrors a lot of Pashupata Shaiva teachings.
Pashupata Shaivism is HIGHLY dualistic in practice and belief, and
therefore lays much imprint on modern Vaishnava philosophical thought that
is reliant on the Gita as it's informational source.
