Sweet, sweet, and more sweet ! That's what Lata's voice always is. I like
this sad version even more than the KK version. Thanks, Yuan.

Many old Bombay movies have such stock, formulaic scenes. Sweetheart gets
slightly annoyed at something and the hero tries to win her attention back
by singing to her. Yet such routines never cease to enrapture us. The
reason simply is in the distinctive melody each time. Thanks, Yuan.

Thank you my friend for the nice comment.

Yes, "Yet such routines never cease to enrapture us. The reason simply is in the distinctive melody each time."!!!

I inadvertently put my comment about " such routines" here. In fact it was
meant for your other upload, Yuan, where Kishore Kumar sings the same song
to Vyjayantimala to woo her back when she is cross with him. Both are
lovely songs, anyway, though I like the Lata version more.

Once again the female voice (Lata) scores over the male (Kishore) song. Add to this Shanker Jaikishan Music and here we have one of the most beautiful song of the yesteryears. Thank you yuanyuanyuanyin for uploading this song.

- You are most welcome, my dear friend.

Call me Yuan, my friend. It is easy to "pronounce".
What happened was that 3 years back, first I came as Yuan and suspended. Then as yuanyuan and again suspended and after 10th time or so, I came as yuanyuanyuanyin. That was the story of this funny name, yuanyuanyuanyin!!! LOL.
Take care.

Hello Yuan and thank you. Nice melody. Joker(Kishore) version was so so. Lata made "the" perfect delivery. It was written by Shailendra. It is said that SJ had promised Shailendra to use him as a writer and later forgot about him. Once they crossed paths somewhere and reminded them by reciting the lines "tum kabhi to milogey, kahin to milogey to poochengey haal".

from Wikipedia: Shankar-Jaikishan once promised Shailendra that they would
recommend him around, but didn't keep their promise. Shailendra sent them a
note with the lines, "Chhoti Si Yeh Duniya, Pehchaane Raaste Hain. Kahin To
Miloge, Phir Poochhenge Haal" (The world is small, the roads are known.
We'll meet sometime, and ask 'How do you do?'". Shankar-Jaikishan realized
what the message meant and having said sorry, turned the lines into a
popular song.

Shankar Jaikishan kee dhun, aur Shailendra ke shabd, Kishore ke behtareen
gaanon mein se ek hai yeh, aaj yaad aa gaya Rangoli ke ek aur gaane ko sun
ne ke baad.
Aag mein jal ke jo bhee nikhre, hai vahi saccha sona... bilkul sahi baat
hai

Nice song from Rangoli, a 1962 release with melodious music by Shankar
Jaikishan. Beautifully written by Shailendra Jee Kishore Kumar has sung
this song very effectively. This song has two versions. The other one sung
by Lata Jee is also very melodious number.
