produced in 1935 at Calcutta. Surendranathji made debut in films at Bombay
in 1936 in Deccan queen. He was asked to sing this song exactly in the
style of Saigal sahib. He made history with this song and was soon known as
Bombay saigal.
Colonel Rao on Monday, December 10, 2012 It is learnt that Surendraji was asked to sing this song exactly in the
style of Saigal Sahib and he did. This was his debut film in 1936. Rest is
history. He had no looking back afterwards.Soon he was called Bombay Saigal
and gave hit after hit.
