can anyone show me even one upcoming singer who has mohammad rafi as his
idol?? not even one. all are fans of kishore kumar and consider him as his
idol.

manoj kumar on Friday, October 21, 2011
kishore kumar won 7 filmfare awards. maximum by any male singer in india

Muhammad Arif Khan on Saturday, October 22, 2011
An article in Times of India, published on 24 July 2010 sums up his voice
as, "If there are 101 ways of saying "I love you" in a song, Mohammed Rafi
knew them all. The awkwardness of puppy love, the friskiness of teen
romance, the philosophy of unrequited love and the anguish of heartbreak -
he could explore every crevice of ardour.

Muhammad Arif Khan on Saturday, October 22, 2011
It wasn't just love, Rafi s voice could capture the navras of life - a
failed poet's melancholy, a fiery unionist's vim, a debt-ridden farmer's
despair, really anybody at all. Rafi, whose career spanned nearly four
decades, was a singer for every season and every reason."

Muhammad Arif Khan on Saturday, October 22, 2011
Mohammed Rafi’s greatness lies in the way he approached the 26,000 songs he
sang during his life. For the way he put his heart and soul into each song
he sang. It is not the number, which counted but for the tremendous range
and quality with which he sang all these songs. That is why he is immortal
and great. Greatness is a combination of both. It is inborn and at the same
time inherited too.

Muhammad Arif Khan on Saturday, October 22, 2011
Hard work is required to become great. However, everybody those who do hard
work need not become great. That is a blessing of God. I believe that many
greats are born again to complete what they did in their first life. That
is why many great people do not have a long life and they have died young.
Mohammed Rafi did not have a long life. Sri Krishna, Sankaracharyar and
many others had a short span only.

Muhammad Arif Khan on Saturday, October 22, 2011
Rafi was a singing meteor of his time. Just a dozen songs from films like
Baiju Bawra, Kohinoor and Guide assures him immortality. And yet, with
virtually every composer and singer worshipping him, especially between
1950 and 1970, he got an undue number of songs to sing and unwittingly hurt
the careers of contemporaries like Manna Dey, Kishore Kumar, Talat Mahmood,
and to a lesser degree, Hemant Kumar.

Muhammad Arif Khan on Saturday, October 22, 2011
Rafi was the most favoured singer for many veteran composers while Kishore
Kumar was preferred by few and was a playback mainly for Dev Anand and
later for Rajesh Khanna. Rafi on the other hand balanced his melodious
voice for diverse stars like Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand, Guru Dutt, Rajendra
Kumar and Shammi Kapoor

Muhammad Arif Khan on Saturday, October 22, 2011
In support of Rafi’s greatness, many of his fans say Rafi sang for Kishore
Kumar in films that Kishore himself acted. They also draw the attention to
Rafi’s song Darde Dil in Karz which was based on a single note and proved
that he was indeed blessed with God-gifted melody. Mohammed Rafi’s fans
also claim that Sonu Nigam and Udit Narayan who belong to the Rafi school
are technically better than Kumar Sanu, Babul Supriyo etc.

Muhammad Arif Khan on Saturday, October 22, 2011
Mohammed Rafi was the greatest ever playback singer of India. Mohammed Rafi
was the creator and architect of the Golden Era of music and melodies in
India. He was uniquely and singularly responsible for the very existence of
the finest artistic grandeur, splendor and original creativity that
embodied the Golden Era of music and melodies of Hindi Cinema. Mohammed
Rafi still reigns as the most favorite singer of all times with music
lovers in India and other parts of the world.

Muhammad Arif Khan on Saturday, October 22, 2011
Mohammed Rafi was the true embodiment of the Golden Era of music and
melodies of Hindi Cinema and he epitomized its finest artistic grandeur,
splendor and original creativity that was at its very unique zenith.
Mohammed Rafi had such fascinatingly wide musical range, supreme artistic
caliber, versatility and mastery over music and melodies. Such was his
voice clarity, pleasantness of pitch and exquisite tone that he was
unsurpassable and unparalleled.

Muhammad Arif Khan on Saturday, October 22, 2011
Such were Rafi s invincible capabilities as a singer that his
contemporaries accepted that he was a musical genius. They adored, admired
and respected him for his supreme artistic caliber, original creativity and
unparalleled musical skills. His voice was the most exquisitely pleasant
voice with a divine grace and splendor. He continues to reign with the
adoration of millions of music lovers and is a supreme inspiration to
innumerable new playback singers.

grade movies mein gaane gaane pade. 2. rafi kabhi us samay ke superstar
rajesh khanna, amitabh ki aawaz nahi ban paaye. 3. ek baar rafi yoodeling

MrAashishkaushik on Friday, January 13, 2012
rafi ke fans yeh kyon nahi mante ki rafi 70s mein khatam ho chuke the.

MrAashishkaushik on Friday, January 13, 2012
kyon aaj tak rafi ke upper koi program nahi bana, jabki kishore da ko
tribute dene ke liye k for kishore(sony) ban chuka hai.

MrAashishkaushik on Friday, January 13, 2012
kyon aajntak rafi ke upper koi film nahi bani, jabki kishore da ke upper 3
filmein ban rahi hai.

MrAashishkaushik on Friday, January 13, 2012
kishore da ne 18 saal mein (1969-85) 8 filmfare jeete jabki rafi ne 1960-77
se lekar 6 filmfare hi jeete. kyon rafi ko 1969 ke baad 1 hi filmfare mila.

MrAashishkaushik on Friday, January 13, 2012

MrAashishkaushik on Friday, January 13, 2012

@MrAashishkaushik Beacuse kishore songs are garbage and remixes are from
garbage songs.

@MrAashishkaushik what sort of a person are you man? Just landed from hell?

MrAashishkaushik on Thursday, January 26, 2012
@hanstezakhm mr. rotezakham, why you are comparing kishore songs to
garbage, are you a 'kabaadi'

MrAashishkaushik on Thursday, January 26, 2012
@mrvinodkumass not 7 but 8 my dear friend which is still a record in both
male and female category. thank you.

hail friendship! it's the best thing in the world to realise that ur
friends are still with u! :D

TheQualitymatters on Friday, March 23, 2012
How come then we don't recall Kishore's songs for so many leading actors of 50s and 60s, that's 20 long years...except for himself or a few songs for Dev Anand and Shashi Kapoor. Were the indian public and all composers crazy all these years? It's the other way round for Rafi: it would be quite a challenge for anyone to find actors that Rafi did NOT sing for...he even sang for Kishore himself and also for Raj Kapoor who is usually associated with Mukesh...any comparison here makes sense?

MrAashishkaushik on Friday, March 30, 2012

I don't know what you are talking about but if you can give a proper response to my comment below, then do that or shut up! Awards don't always mean everything. If you think they do, then do you also agree that Dilip Kumar and Shahrukh (8 filmfare awards) are better than Amitabh (5 awards)? Also, Amitabh has won only one more award than Hrithik Roshan (4 awards) who by the way in the history of bollywood has most awards after Dilip, Shahrukh and Amitabh! You can't just look at awards alone!

TheQualitymatters on Wednesday, April 11, 2012
I am talking about Best Actor awards and you are including Supporting Actor awards too. Who cares about supporting roles for actors who are known as leading actors or heroes? We are not talking about Prem Chopra or Anupum Kher here. We are talking of main roles here. Why are you trying to confuse everyone by distorting facts? The fact remains that Dilip and Shahrukh have both won 8 Best Actor awards and Amitabh has won 5 and then Hrithik has won 4.

TheQualitymatters on Wednesday, April 11, 2012
Also as I said before...awards don't mean everything. If you know anything about Hollywood, Clint Eastwood, Tom Cruise and Harrison Ford are the most successful leading heroes of Hollywood. Their box-office is the highest of all leading actors. And yet none of them won a single Oscar! When I gave facts about Rafi, that is what I meant. He is above awards. Kishore didn't sing for so many leading actors of 50s and 60s whereas Rafi sang for all actors you can think of..even for Kishore too!

MrAashishkaushik on Wednesday, April 11, 2012
abe confuse main hoon ya tu, pehli baat tune kahi likha nahi hain ki yahaan
sirf best actor award ki baat ho rahi hain(check your comment) aur haan
anupam kher ne saransh(1984) ke liye best actor filmfare jeeta tha. bhai tu
apni knowledge thik kar pahle.

TheQualitymatters on Friday, April 13, 2012
lagta hai tu nay apna sara career bas award ko study karne mein laga diya hai...masters ya phd ki hai awards mein jo har waqt awards ko hi importance deta hai? jis ka kaam acha hota hai woh nazar aata hai..public appreciate karti hai...awards tau aik formality hai bas koi criteria nahi hai quality judge karne kay liye

Filmfare award started in 1953 & Introduced best Singer award in 1959 so no award for Rafi frm 1952 to1959 for 7 years & frm 1959 to 1967 both male and female singers used to compete for a single award so Rafi had to compete with Mukesh, Manna Dey, Mahender Kapur, Talat, Hemant Kumar along with LATA, ASHA, SUMAN,and Shamshad Begum coz for 8 years male & female singers used to compare with each other and Rafi won 4 awards in this 8 year time so that's why Rafi won only 6 award and Kishore got 8

Gali se tere culture ka pata chalta hai abe filmfare award shuru hua 1953 me but 4 best singer shuru hua 1959 me toh in 7 salo me Rafi ko award kaise milta n 59 se 1967 tak male female ke liye ek hi award hota tha n rafi ko male singers ke alawa Lata, Asha aur Suman jaise singers ka bhi samna karna pada par phir phir in 8 salo me 4 award jeete

Rafi recorded 1st song in 1941 so his career running till 1980 for 39yrs...Media and ur kind of mentality people made Kishore singer in 1969 so he had 18yrs career.question is .Why just 3 song of Aradhna bring Kishore against him as his competitor? one side Rafi had 26yrs career n other hand Kishore had 3 song...why ?coz in same way in 2000 media bring Ritik(KNPH) equal to SRK & Salmann they had 12yrs long career.

MrAashishkaushik on Tuesday, May 08, 2012
rafi sang his first song in 1945 not in 1941(it's official) that means his
career should be around 35 years and u r talking about 'aradhna'(1969),
usme to rafi ne bhi 2 gaane gaaye the aur wo famous bhi huye lekin kishore
da ke gaane rafi se kahi jyaada famous huye aur wo isiliye kyonki log rafi
ke gaane se ub chuke the aur sabhi jaante hai ki rafi ko 1969 ke baad gaane
milne kaafi kam ho gaye the isilye unhone b grade movies mein gaane gaane
pade aage aur likhta hoon dhyaan se padho

MrAashishkaushik on Tuesday, May 08, 2012
tumhein pata hai udit narayan ne apna pehla gaana rafi ke saath 1980 mein
gaaya tha par wo famous huye 1988 mein qayamat se qayamat tak ke baad, phir
abhijeet jinhone apna pehla gaana gaaya 1984 mein kishore da ke saath
'anand aur anand' movie ke liye par famous huye khiladi(1992) ke baad phir
aaye kumar sanu jinhone apna pehla gaana gaaya jagjit singh ke liye film
'aandhiyaa'(1987) mein par famous huye aashiqui(1990) se, matlab saaf hai
ki sabne apna carrer kishore da ke time mein shuru kiya

MrAashishkaushik on Tuesday, May 08, 2012
compare karna chahte ho to phir bhagwaan tumhin buddhi de, jao bhai jao koi
asli facts lao

In 1941, Rafi, under Shyam Sunder, made his debut in Lahore as a playback singer in the duet for Film gul baloch (the film was released in 1944). That's why I wrote he recorded his first song dear.plz check and rafi ke 2 gane bhi famous hue the aradhna me wohi sawal hai na ke 1945 se 69 tak aprrox 25 yrs ka career ek taraf aur 3 gane ek taraf aur...ye sab mitti me kyu mila dia gaya ..isme kishore ke talent ka hath nahi ..balki aisa hi 2000 me hua 12 saal ki ek tarf aur ek film ek taraf ..why

Maximum Rafi fan like the Kishore also coz who like Rafi he/she should be good music lover but 90% Kishore fans completely hate rafi...why coz ...they don't have good knowledge of music...& have negativity.about him or ..they are narrow minded...aur kahin na kahin gandi socho se grast hain.
