There are many others, some may be called 'better' by some, but there is no denying how great Shailendra was. It is incredible that someone who listens to Hindi music does not know who Shailendra was. Not to be a wiseguy, but do you know who Kaifi, Sahir, Majrooh, Anand Bakshi, Indeevar were?

I do know and appreciate the greatness of Shailendraji. he was simply superb and his lyrics were expressions of common man hearttouching.
