Critic224 on Sunday, April 04, 2010 Wah Wah ! The ghazal I have been looking for too long on net ... This is
from movie Gaman directed by Mr Muzaffar Ali and this Ghazal is penned by
Mr Sharyar. Sharyar saheb lives in city of Aligarh ... not very far from my
house ... he had written this ghazal in the back drop of a communal riot
... people say that it is as if he has commented on those happenings in
this ghazal ...
Rakesh Sharma on Thursday, April 08, 2010 great thanks for sharing such a beautiful sharing

Urte Katinaite on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 Jaidev was the first choice for Muzaffar Ali's "Umrao Jaan". He composed
the songs, but something did not work out and Khayyam was roped in.
Bhishma2 on Thursday, March 10, 2011 Hazaar Shukriya, Hyderabadee ji! Baada lutf hua!
MrRochakarora on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 Heard this ghazal while on flight from Canada 2 days ago... And since then I am hearing it day and night :)
Umer Chaudhary on Tuesday, June 07, 2011 Khoob hai janab...kia kehnay...
Umer Chaudhary on Tuesday, June 07, 2011 i have feelings but cant express...even its impossibe to chose words to
admire this Peacful Composition...Ap sab ki nazar Omar Khayam k kuch
alfaz.. " Saya-e-shajar mein sheron ki aik kitab, sharab ka aik pyala,
roti ka aik tukrra aur mere Pehlu mein geet gati hoi tum, aur wo jangal bhi
mere liye jannat ka tukrra ban jaye.."
RealMusicKing on Monday, July 11, 2011 Jaidev was superb. Something Khaiyyam can never be. Not even close.
Ajit Wadhwani on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 Each was g8 in his own way. Can we forget Khayyam's music from Phir Subah
Hogi, Umrao Jaan,Kabhie Kabhie?
Critic224 on Thursday, May 03, 2012 Dear brothers and sisters ... the lyricist of this song Sharyar Saheb has
passed away this Feb (2012) ... I will always be thankful to my luck that a
man like this lived a few paces away from my home in Aligarh ... truly a
great shayer (poet) and this ghazal is priceless ...
catch699 on Sunday, May 13, 2012 Move over father, there's a new holy trinity: Shahryar, Jaidev, Hariharan.
Unfortunately, this was their only creation :( -- but what a creation it
was... Thanks for the upload. This is, in my book, the greatest ghazal to
ever feature in a Hindi film.
zenithtnf on Friday, June 15, 2012 Wooow no words for great composition , although i have read this gazal many times bt nver heared ,, any one knows more abt great poet shahryar ? Amazing lyrics by him in umraojaan
sky4294 on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 All respect to Mr. Jaidev for such a gr8 composition and also Shaharyar saheb and of course Hariharan. Love the tightness and discipline with which songs were made and sung sung during that time. Love this Song.
Harshal Pulekar on Thursday, November 22, 2012 Clearly the original tune was composed by Jaidev himself for the song
"Kabhi Khud Pe" in the movie Hum Dono which became a classic sung
flawlessly by the inimitable Rafi.
aurelius210 on Thursday, January 24, 2013 Thank you for posting this beautiful ghazal. Just one correction re the
following sher: bhatak rahi thi jo kashti vo gaqr-e-aab hui chadha hua tha
jo dariya utar gaya yaaro The correct word is ''GARQ'' which means ''to
drown''.
Kaustubh Pethe on Wednesday, January 01, 2014 Reminds one of "Kabhi Khud pe Kabhi Halaat pe" from the immortal "Hum Dono"
from the same maestro, Jaidev.
The harkat done by Hariharan on stanza lines such as "Har ek jakhm mere dil
ka bhar gaya yaroon" is the same as what Rafi Sahab did in that song to
lines such as "Kya hua aaj ye kis baat pe rona aaya".Of course, comparing
anyone with Rafi Sahab is like taking a candle and holding it to the sun!
Ajay Purohit on Thursday, May 08, 2014 A song from film Jumbish (MD - Jaidev) reminds me of "Dekho rutha na karo"
from Tere ghar ke samne. Probably Jaidev might have composed "Dekho rutha
na karo" as an assistant to immortal SD.
Om Prakash on Friday, September 19, 2014 CADHA HUA THA JO DARIYA UTAR GAYA YAARO-KOI SHAKS MAR GAYA-
BEMISAL.
Om Prakash on Friday, September 26, 2014 LAJWAB THANKS,LAFZO KO RUH MIL GAYI HO JAISE,GREAT SINGING.
DR ARTI SAHAI on Saturday, October 11, 2014 doubtless each word of this superb gazal seems so true to what we call LIFE
