if anyone has video of this song...pl upload .i read somewhere that this
song picturised on JAIKISHAN...

Rmehtacpa on Sunday, December 27, 2009
It will be a big surpise if one would find a vedio of this or any Begunah
song. The movie was banned and all prints were destroyed. As a teenagr I
had luckily seen the movie picuturized on Jaikishanwith Piano singing. Just
before the film was banned. Lucky that we can at least listen to the
wonderful songs of this movie. All the tunes were fantastic. The duet by
Mannady Lata, ".Din albele pyar ka mausm.." being the best, besides
"Gori gori, gori main pariyon ki chhori.." by lata

@Rmehtacpa

I did not know that Begunah was banned. Why?
I also had seen this movie some where in 1958. Jaikishan was on the screen with piano. Lovely song

Siddharth Oza on Thursday, January 28, 2010
There is other number by Kishore kumar aaj na jane pagal manva kahe ko
ghabhraye-it was on youtube but disappeared, can u upload please?

ojhaskm on Friday, January 29, 2010
very sorry to note that the onesum of the two songs of Mukesh and Kishore
Kumar of Begunah have been removed from the Youtube. It is very sad; I have
noted also that sometimes in Wikipaedia the contents have been amended
which is really very damaging for the posterity. I also have a great disire
to see this movie "Begunah" and if somebody uploads it on Youtube it would
be a great favour.

Chandu Kale on Tuesday, June 08, 2010
Begunah was based on a Dany Kaye movie without giving due credit and was
banned by a court order after action was brought by the producer. All
negatives were destroyed. This song was made by Shankar-Jaikishan to help
Mukesh, who had fallen on bad days and it was filmed on Jaikishan to save
producer's money.

RealMusicKing on Thursday, June 10, 2010
Ajay. Thank you. I heard the song "din albele pyar ka mausam" back in 1978 and had taped it on a cassette(which was later stolen from me). Till today, I never knew the name of the movie. Yuan passed me the info and an upload in a private stage show in Sri Lanka. Do you have it in your collection by any chance. It's a real nice song I think it's taken from a Christmas carol "Silent night, Holy night"

RealMusicKing on Thursday, June 10, 2010
@VivaPune . Mukesh did see some real bad days. I believe the year was 1955 when he did not have a single movie recording to his name. Song "Suhana safar aur yeh mausam haseen" from Madhumati was to be sung by a Bengali singer by the name of Dwijen Mukherjee but was given to Mukesh. Film Yahudi song "Yeh mera diwanapan hai" was to be sung by Talat Mahmood per Dilip Kumars request but Shankar threatened to cancel the song if not given to Mukesh.

Rmehtacpa on Monday, September 06, 2010
@RealMusicKing And I have that RARE Beautiful and Finest duet "Din
albele. with me. Bengunah's songs were all great but the duet in which
Manna Dey gave playback for Kishore who teamed with lovely Shakila.

RealMusicKing on Monday, September 06, 2010
@Rmehtacpa Hello and thank you for your message. You mean Dil Albele Pyar Ka Mausam was filmed on Kishore?

Rmehtacpa on Monday, September 06, 2010
@RealMusicKing Yes with Shakila as heroine. She was my favourite heroine
even in my chilhood.

RealMusicKing on Monday, September 06, 2010
@Rmehtacpa I thought the movie was not released and all it's negatives were burnt by the Indian govt. because it was a 100% copy of a hollywood film? Where did you see it? Do you have any clippings of the movie / songs ?

Ashoke Mahtani on Friday, November 19, 2010
@Rmehtacpa Shakila is STILL my favourite heroine AFTER Madhubala and
Waheeda Rehman, Nutan naturally

Rmehtacpa on Sunday, November 28, 2010
@RealMusicKing Yes and Shakila.

Rmehtacpa on Sunday, November 28, 2010
@RealMusicKing I do not recall too well as I was too young. However, since
Jaikishan was from a village called Vansada in Gujarat. His classmate from
primary school had worked for us in Navsari and he had gone to see the
movie to see Jaikishan singing the song on Piano Ye pyase dil bejuban in
this film and we too went. I think the movie was released and ran briefly
at theaters before it was banned and destroyed. As for clipse of this
movie, it will be a miracle if we would ever see any. Wish...

Mohammed Yousuf on Monday, December 20, 2010
This film never ever released. There were some finance problem and film
could not completed.

wonderful memory BY MUKESH and SHANKER -JAIKISHEN. This song was picturised
on JAIKISHEN on the screen. Film BEGUNAH.

rdadhyaru on Monday, June 13, 2011
yusufrafi your info is not correct, because I have seen this film in the
year 1963 or 64.This song was picturised on music director Jaikishan
himself. rdadhyaru

harmahendra hura on Monday, September 12, 2011
@navin57787 I feel that I have seen this film in those days in ITARSI a
small town. Films were exhibited in Itarsi months after of release. If it
was banned in 10 days it would have not been shown in Itarsi.

FOUND IT AFTER A LONG SEARCH.LOVE IT.DR.ANIL TYAGI,INDORE

Rmehtacpa on Sunday, December 18, 2011
@navin57787 True, In fact a person who worked at our business as sales
person was from Vansada, Gujarat where Jaikishan came from, and he had gone
to primary school with him. His brother used to visit Jaikishan at his flat
in GOBIND MAHAL on Marine Drive, Bombay. I know this from the person who
worked for us as well as while visiting my siter's flat in SHRINIKETAN
(next to Gobind Mahal) on Marine Dive. This man with God gifted sheer
talent, unfortunately died very early.

Desikan Nambakkam on Sunday, January 01, 2012
It is a long cherished song but would have liked it more in the proper
Video form. May somebody views this one and if has the video please upload
the video format.

Virendra Sharma on Thursday, May 31, 2012
The movie was certainly release as I saw it in Roorkee. Jaikishan sang the
song in the picture.

Rmehtacpa on Saturday, September 15, 2012
You were lucky to see the movie and my childhood favourite heroin Shakila,
before it was banned by court order than destroyed.

Lyics by Shailendra. Enchanting and rare gem. Thank you.

jedimanoj on Saturday, January 12, 2013
the film is from 1957. it was banned due to copyright issues as it used
ideas from an english movie Knock on Wood. The courts ordered all the film
reels to be destroyed. i wonder if any one has a copy that survived and if
so then it would be great if they remastered it on to DVD.

jedimanoj on Saturday, January 12, 2013
by the way it is a wonderful song by Mukesh. i have seen a photo of
Jaikishan playing the piano on the internet. The soundtrack survived and
still carries the memories for the people that did see it. My dad saw it in
his school days in Kenya.

Ghurburrun Nand on Wednesday, February 27, 2013
If there is a place from where there is a little chance of getting it
retrieved is the old british colonies like Mauritius, West Indies, Surinam,
kenya, uganda etc where the film had been projected and so old copies could
be lying in their archives. All internauts kindly appeal to music lovers
all over the world to do an effort to save that patrimony.

Lot has been written about this song from experienced elders. I only feel
sorry that we are deprived of lovely songs of the film.Other Kishor numbers
& duet 'rut albeli pyar ka mausam' by lat-Rafi are worth listening.
